The sculpture is interesting, but the story of the main characters is even more interesting. Does not pull on the Oscar for the plot, but still sinks into the heart, and stays there forever :)

Beautiful monument, fountains are working! But who does not know this is a sad legend: The sculptural composition "Jan and Natalka" was based on the famous legend in Korsun-Shevchenko. The young nobleman Ian fell in love with the serf girl Natalka. No matter how hard he tried to redeem his beloved, the mistress of the estate did not agree. Then the young people decided that when they could not be together in this world, they would be reunited in heaven. Holding hands, Ian and Natalka jumped into the stormy waters of Russia. Now the island, where the sculpture is installed, the townspeople began to call Yantalka. By the way, one of the types of decorative violets was named "Jan-Natalka".

Good composition, but it looks better, apparently, in winter, when it is snowing and everything is frozen. Agree that in the summer without water it is not a fountain and looks a little vague ..... Give water to the fountain !!!!!
