I came here to visit the resting place of my great-great-grandparents, who were Mennonites and the original occupants of this land before the Russian Revolution. I was lucky to find their headstone, but sadly it had been partially covered by a pile of dirt and trash, a careless act which to me seemed symbolic of the general lack of knowledge and respect that locals have about their village's violent history.

Fenced and tidy. There is a toilet. It is located at the entrance to the village along the main street. Fortunately, everything is fenced.
