The synagogue from the beginning of the 18th century shows where the Jewish district of Brzeżany was once located. The building, or rather the walls that remain after it, are distinguished by the size and shape of the windows. Above one of the entrances you can see a bas-relief with leaves.

The Great Synagogue, the remains of which are preserved to this day, was erected in the Jewish Quarter in 1718, near the city wall. The temple is rectangular in plan with a square prayer hall without columns. Built in Renaissance-Baroque style. Two-story prayer galleries for women were annexed from the north and west to the prayer hall. The prayer hall above had a wooden vault with round windows under the ceiling.
