My visit to this cave was an unexpected, yet welcome, accident. I originally entered the Luray Caverns in Virginia, but when I exited I ended up here in Pechera Optymistychna. Luckily I was carrying my passport so I was able to return back to the States with relative ease. Although I didn't intend to visit these caverns, I definitely recommend others to come see its beauty!

You have to book the tour in advance and the lady that runs the tour company is very unpleasant. Sadly she does not speak English and didn't want to use Google translate. There is a massive door at the entrance to the cave but no number to contact anyone with. I talked with the lady who runs the hostel just as you enter town. I was really excited to see this cave but not 600 Ukrainian excited. If the lady would have been more pleasant I might have actually paid to the the cave with here. Very let down. This is my fist bad experience in 2 months of traveling Ukraine 🇺🇦😭💕

We were on a 2-hour excursion. I advise you to rent overalls and boots right away - you will be covered in clay from head to toe. The impressions are just insane. Delight! I advise.
