Polish military cemetery from 1918-1920

Great cemetery, now active, very tight. The vast majority of tombstones of modern execution - granite, concrete. There are older, from the local sandstone (near Chortkova two deposits were developed) or from the reddish - from the Nirkova or Terebovlya. The folk style is predominantly laconic - a cross with a crucifix on a massive pedestal. Somewhere the pedestal is decorated with figures of the Virgin or the saints. Some old tombstones are already without the inscriptions. There are not surprising cases when the pedestal is replaced by a modern one, and the old cross is preserved (probably the burial place of relatives next to it). Old monuments require cleaning and restoration. A memorial to the fighters for the freedom of Ukraine (USS, UGA) is planned on the territory, a symbolic memorial sign for the rebels has been set up. As a separate field, a Polish military memorial with typical crosses has been completed. In the upper part of the street Stepan Bandera there is a plot where there was a Jewish cemetery (kerk), abandoned, enclosed, tombstones relatively few.
