The technical school (now college) was founded in 1896 as an art-industrial school. The main building is designed in the French Renaissance style. There is no ceramics museum as such, but there is a museum exposition in seven halls. The collection was based on 20 copies of famous sculptures by Falcone, Adamson, Pimenov and other masters. To them were added products from China, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Copenhagen porcelain, Ukrainian faience, works from Meissen, as well as products of domestic enterprises. Over time, samples of Ukrainian pottery, embroidery and weaving were added to the exposition. The works of college graduates are also exhibited here. Guided tours take place on Thursdays or by agreement with organized groups. In summer there are no excursions at all - vacations. We were a couple of years ago in June, went to college for exploration, got a phone number, and called each other. We are fortunate enough to join the group. The ticket is 20 UAH, and the pleasure is ten times more. The most luxurious is the unique majolica iconostasis. The story is like this. In 1900, the school of art and industry made a 30 m long majolica iconostasis for the Russian embassy church in Buenos Aires. It was magnificent, and the church community of the Mirgorod Holy Dormition Cathedral ordered a copy of the iconostasis for their church. In 1902, a unique iconostasis was installed and became the decoration of the cathedral. In Soviet times, the cathedral was closed, the iconostasis was dismantled, some of its parts were taken over by the college. Now he is a true decoration of the museum exposition. I can say about the students' works - wonderful works, unique works, one better than the other. Porcelain, faience, majolica, interesting subjects, magnificent embodiment. Watching is not enough.

We got here by accident, really liked the ceramic altar on the 1st floor. Unfortunately, the museum did not work that day.

Large territory. I did not study here, but I was on an excursion. There is an amazing collection of ceramics from different years, masters and trends. The condition, of course, is terrible, the repair, if it was, is cosmetic, and for a long time.
