Favorite "Gerdochka" again helped out. The lock broke. The choice of locks is huge. The prices, however, are off scale, as elsewhere. For UAH 1,000 (whole kit) solved the problem. They even picked up a screwdriver to twist the lock. Thank you GERDA!
