Zolochiv Castle was built in the first half of the seventeenth century. The castle is a non-Dutch type of defense structure and belongs to the palazzo in fortezzo, that is, it combines defense and housing. The defensive structures of Zolochiv Castle are the ramparts, bastions, the gate tower, the bridge and the Ravelin. Since the foundation, the shafts, bastions, partially overburden housing have been preserved, and the Ravelin and the bridge have been reconstructed. Yakub Sobieski Castle was designed by an unknown architect. In 1686, at the request of King Jan III Sobieski, he was restored and decorated with works of art. Of the rich inheritance in 1801, little remains - only small lands with a castle. Since then, the owners have changed several times until the castle became state property. To date, only the Chinese palace, a large residential palace, and a significantly rebuilt tower at the end of the 19th century have survived in the castle yard. The Chinese palace at Zolochiv Castle was built at the end of the seventeenth century. At first it was a so-called gallery - a rotunda with eight columns on the side of the main facade and a balcony around. On the second floor, the entrance was across the bridge from the shaft. In the eighteenth century, the side annexes were completed and the building was called the Chinese Palace. reliefs over the doors and windows of the second floor of the rotunda are preserved. We were able to recreate the interior. The Museum of Oriental Cultures was opened in the renovated Chinese Palace of Zolochiv Castle on May 21, 2004. In the central two-story part of the Chinese Palace - the rotunda - the interior and the tea room.
