Very professional, polite and ready to help. Personally for me it was definitely a nice experience. Because I currently live abroad and faced difficulties in applying for SA visa in my country of residence, I referred to the consulate in Kiev as a Ukrainian citizen. The lady receiving documents was very nice and understanding and accepted my application without any problem. Though after reading previous feedbacks I was worried about flying to Kiev just to apply for a visa, but it all went smooth, fast and painless. Just be sure to have all the necessary documents that are usually standard and come in person as they don't work with agents.

Very arrogant and rude attitude towards visitors. Information they give on the phone (if you are lucky to get through with it) is incomplete, and you may find that you need some extra documents when you will arrive there. Considering how much time they take to process you might have just one take per day. I would suggest to make sure you have everything they might ask before you go, especially if you are not form Kiev.

It's just the BOTTOM, not the embassy. The phone does not work, mail through one place. It is impossible to find from the street, there are no signs. I was lucky that the security guard suggested and in Google reviews someone wrote where to go. The list of documents is larger than for Schengen or the United States. He gave up, they said that everything was ok. Take a visa from a certain number. They said they might call me and ask me to send hotel reservations, except for those I had already given, but they might not call. A week later they called and asked to send the hotel to the post office, he arrived the same day. The day before I receive the call and ask about everyone. The visa is suspended and they changed the work schedule in retrospect, so that the visa will be much later than indicated. I say I have a flight soon, I do not have time. I paid for the airplane, the hotels - they had time to deliver everything, and now you change everything in retrospect. and a girl like that is not our responsibility. I say - you understand that you spent more than a thousand dollars, you drain everything. The girl is like that - we don't care. I go to the embassy, ​​pick up my passports - it turns out they could easily have managed to get a visa in a couple of hours, but just did not want to (because I dared to tell them in the face that they are fraudulent). And all, closed behind the door, please talk to someone more serious than a stupid girl, but zero reaction. In general, this is the bottom. I already have my 4th passport (because I travel constantly). I received a lot of visas before that, embassies always more or less try to meet, or if serious embassies (Schengen, states, England), then at least work very clearly, that it is possible to count somehow. It's just a waste of time, money and nerves, and these idiots are just doing their best to get fed up. And damn, this is South Africa, where most countries in the world do not need a visa at all.
