A beautiful classicist style house built in 1889 for Odessa Gymnasium # 5. That is why the name of the street then changed from Novobyrna to Gymnasium. Panteleimonovskaya, 13. It was here that the famous Odessa-Valentin Kataev, the literary father of Petit and Gavrik, studied. And other well-known people are I.Ilf and E.Petrov (Kataev's brother), O.Kozachinsky (Green van), B.Zhytkov (writer). And Vladimir Zhabotinsky is one of the ideologists of Zionism. The memorial plaque on the house does not mention it. The gymnasium was closed after the Bolshevik coup and since February 23, 1918, the Agricultural University, now the Agrarian University, is located here.
