The memorial complex is dedicated to the soldiers who died in August-September 1941 in the battle with the Nazis (the onslaught of the superior forces of the enemy was curtailed for almost 2 months, and on September 29, the "Red" army was defeated). The name of the memorial comes from the name of the district where it is located, in this area there were fierce battles.
