Interesting and atmospheric necropolis. Despite the name, there are graves and crypts not only of the Russian (read Ukrainian), but also Romanian, Polish, German (Austrian) population of Chernivtsi for different periods of time since the beginning of the XIX century.

Ancient cemetery. Olga Kobylyanska has many ancient and unique monuments in this burial cemetery. There is a tomb of Bukovynian metropolitans on the territory of the cemetery. This cemetery is over 100 years old. The cemetery was built outside the city near Ruska Street. In ancient times, when the Austro-Hungarian Empire occupied Bukovina, Ukrainians were called Russians, the local population of this rich region. The local nobility and intelligentsia were buried in the cemetery. During the occupation of the Red Army of the USSR, I well remember how whole buses of tourists came to look after the graves of their relatives.

My grandfather is buried there, he has been lying there for 6 years already, he has not yet complained! 10/10

Historic cemetery. A large number of old cellars. It is a pity that many of them are destroyed and overgrown with shrubs.
