National Council of Ukraine for Television and Radio Broadcasting

The National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting is a constitutional, permanent collegial, supervisory and regulatory body of Ukraine in the field of broadcasting. The National Council is a legal entity, has a seal with its name and the image of the State Emblem of Ukraine. The National Council is guided by the Constitution of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine "On the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting", the Law of Ukraine "On Television and Radio Broadcasting", other laws of Ukraine, international treaties of Ukraine, ratified by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, acts of the President of Ukraine. The activities of the National Council are based on the principles of legality, independence, objectivity, transparency, accessibility to the public, taking into account cultural, ideological and political diversity in society, taking into account generally accepted international norms and standards in the field of broadcasting, completeness and comprehensiveness of consideration of issues and justification of the decisions made. The activities of the National Council are open, and its decisions are accessible to the subjects of information relations.
