Despite the widespread prevalence in Ukraine and the CIS countries, dry halotherapy (that is, treatment with salt particles and negatively charged ions) is continuous quackery. Its effectiveness in chronic lung diseases has been disproved in the last decade. And mobile halochambers, which every now and then are installed in kindergartens, can even become a hotbed of infection.
