No. 2 is the former tenement house of the homeowner Cholodenko, built in the second half of the 19th century. Many different organizations rented premises here, including: the Zhytomyr branch of the Azov-Don Commercial Bank, the Zhytomyr Second Savings and Loan Association, the Volyn Provincial Treasury, the Volyn Provincial Treasury Chamber. A financier and public figure, State Councilor Ilya Ilyich Brukhovsky (1856 - 1915) worked in the Treasury and Treasury. From 1886 to 1902 he was an accountant of the Zhitomir district treasury, and from 1902 to 1909 he was the clerk and secretary of the Volyn treasury chamber. His son Vsevolod Ilyich Brukhovsky (1890 - 1969) is an outstanding local historian, naturalist, ornithologist, one of the founders and creators of the exposition of the Zhytomyr Museum of Nature. In honor of them and the Volyn provincial treasury, on April 21, 2010, a memorial plaque was installed on the wall of the building. Since 1930, this building has been the location of the Zhytomyr Automobile and Highway College (formerly a technical school). During the Second World War, the building was badly damaged. The technical school did not function for 18 years. In the postwar years, the courtyard of the technical school was turned into a vegetable base. Here in large vats they fermented cabbage. The building was restored in 1959, and on September 1, 1959, the technical school resumed its studies. The building is corner. It is located at the corner with Teatralnaya Street. Here, until the early 1950s, was the beginning of Teatralnaya Street. On the left side of Bolshaya Berdichevskaya there was a continuous building. The Teatralnaya Street was extended along the ruins of former buildings to the current Victory Square, adding part of the Seminary Lane (now Skorulsky Passage), in the early 1950s. On the left side of Bolshaya Berdichevskaya, at the corner with Teatralnaya, there is a small public garden. In 1968, a bust of Karl Marx was installed on a granite pedestal in it. The bust was thrown off the pedestal in February 2014, and in its place it was decided to install a bust of Stepan Bandera. This decision was the result of a meeting of the Department of Urban Development of the Zhytomyr City Council. The project of the monument was presented by sculptors Oleg Pinchuk and Vladimir Sholudko. The bust of Bandera, which was supposed to appear on January 1, 2019, on the 110th anniversary of his birth, is not yet available. And a black labradorite board was attached to the pedestal: "ZBUDUIMO MONUMENT To our fellow countryman, a prominent polishchuk, the father of that first koshov otaman Vijska Zaprozky OSTAFIA DASHKEVICH (1455 - 1535)".

This is one of the oldest educational institutions in Zhitomir with its long history and traditions. The college has two academic buildings (old and new). On the territory of the educational institution there is a large sports complex. There is its own large educational base for practical training of students. There are several student dormitories. The college has great teachers and a good material and technical base.
