Monument to an outstanding fellow countryman! To the Russian writer, ethnographer and lexicographer, collector of folklore, military doctor .. The greatest fame was brought to him by the unsurpassed volume "Explanatory Dictionary of the Living Great Russian Language", which took 53 years to compile. Born in the city of Lugansk plant. The monument is located on the street bearing his name not far from the house where he was born.
