I advise everyone! Martial Arts Hopak - Ukrainian martial art, developed on the basis of elements of traditional Cossack combat, preserved in folk dances and the personal experience of a Lviv citizen martial arts researcherVladimir Pilat. Before working on the rebirth of the Hopak War, Vladimir Pilate had studied kyokushin karate for seventeen years, eight of whom had been a sensei. In parallel with Kyokushin, he studied Goju-Ryu, Sone, Shotokankarat, Kickboxing, Jutsu and Aikido. From the early 80's began to research and systematize knowledge about the martial culture of Ukrainians. Taking on the study of folk dances, Vladimir Pilat drew attention to the richness and diversity of their movements. He found that Ukrainian dances, especially popular among the Cossacks of Hopat Metelytsia, contained many elements that were not common to other nations and resembled military equipment - kicks, jumps or spiders, various steps, reflections, cuts, "Sliders", "squats", "planks", "mines", etc. Later, these movements, properly transformed to the requirements of modern martial art, formed the basis of the technical arsenal of the Hopak War. This name was given to the ancestral martial arts of the ancestors because a great deal of technique was deciphered through the study of folk dances, first of all by Hopak. In almost every village, there were schools where children were taught to fight. The school was a master who taught children to fight, fight, develop strength and protect themselves and their village from attackers. For this villagers gave him food. The martial arts master did not have to deal with the city, the cattle, but only the training of young soldiers. Some elements of the traditional struggle were shown by Pilate's grandfather and father.
