Hello all from Catherine! I am from Bulgaria. But I’ve been living with my husband in USA for 10 years now. I looked for a surrogacy...... Now that I became mother myself with the assistance of a surrogate mother, I would like to share my own experience with you. Hopefully, someone will find my information helpful. I and my husband had our first surrogacy program in Russia. There were two unsuccessful IVF attempts and then we stopped trying. In both attempts I was using my own oocytes. Our surrogate mother got pregnant twice, but each time she miscarried at an early date. So, we took timeout, since we were discouraged by our failures, both morally and financially. It took us two years to pull ourselves together and decide to give it one more, final try. This time our program was run at the La Vita Nova center, which is in Kharkov, Ukraine. What won our hearts immediately were their reasonable prices and quick replies to all our questions. Before we decided to make our first visit for a consultation, we discussed again and again with an administrator each next step both online and by Skype. In fact, we discussed all, including the issues of our accommodation, transport service, choosing a surrogate mother, all the costs, prices, expenses, as well as legal support. This time we made use of the services of both a surrogate mother and an egg donor (as was recommended by the center). The onset of pregnancy was attained right away. As was explained to me, I should not have used my own oocytes. It’s a pity that our previous clinic did not offer it. Although I was certainly looking forward to my own genetically-related child, all further failures took too much of our optimism and vital power. Now I am happy to be mother, even despite that my genetic matter was not used. We are so grateful to our surrogate mother for her responsible attitude to pregnancy. We are also thankful to the La Vita Nova personnel for keeping all their obligations. They gave us all that had been promised. If someone needs any help, please contact me. Although I cannot stay near my computer for too long (being the mother and having so much trouble, which I really enjoy), I could give you some good advice and share my practical experience as a person who went all the way and finally did it. I have 4 years of experience with this structure. The surrogate mothers are very poorly monitored, whether medically or humanely, medical reports are very poor, and contractual monitoring is deficient. I had 2 babies at the very start of the program, but systematically with emotional blackmail to extract more money from you than expected from birth, with the complacency of a gentleman who calls himself OLEG. Welcome to the antechamber of the former USSR. Currently I am suing this company for non-assistance to anyone in danger (I lost a baby at 8 months pregnant, in full health) and 5 chaotic trials outside of any recommended medical procedure.
