If you need to find an abandoned house or structure, here are some tips for you. And it doesn't matter if you plan to live in a building or just want to buy an ownerless building, or you are just a curious person who wants to know in which houses people live in your neighborhood, this article will help you.

Steps
1
Find a property. If you are in shape, take a walk around the area where you would like to find an abandoned building. This will give you time to quickly assess the condition of the houses and spot those that suit you. Alternatively, you can travel around the area, but it will be more difficult to notice the details by which you can determine whether the house is abandoned or not. Finally, you can use services like Google Maps and similar. When you find several suitable houses there, write down their address and go to the place!
2
Determine the condition of your front yard. This moment alone can serve as a good indication of whether people live in the house or not. Abandoned front gardens and neglected lawns will serve as quite an eloquent signpost. Keep in mind that under favorable circumstances, the grass grows 5 centimeters per month. Accordingly, the grass with a height of 30 centimeters seems to say that it has not been cut for six months. However, some people like it this way ... but then a path should lead to the house! If the path to the front door is overgrown, then this is an abandoned house.
Doorstep mat, mailbox, driveway, counters. Most residential buildings have a rug on the doorstep; abandoned houses do not. He was either taken with them, or thrown out, or stolen. Any paper spam, as a rule, sticks out in the mailbox. And when it is full, then nothing else will be put into it ... well, or it will be dumped in a heap under the box. If you check the date on the lower letters, you can get some idea of when the mail was last checked. Weeds growing at the entrance to the house will be regularly trampled. Accordingly, if the road is thoroughly overgrown, then no one walks or drives on it. If there are meters at the front door, then, as a rule, there is also a shield that controls the power supply of the house. If it is turned off, then hardly anyone lives in the house. Likewise, the water meter must be turned off.
Fences, gates and backyard. Even if people do not have a pet, they still do not mind fencing the backyard when not at home. Check the condition of the fences and gates - whether they are in order, repaired or not. Looking at the front yard, try to figure out if there is good access to the back door, if the garden and garden furniture are being watched, if there are children's toys or traces of pets, or even transport. By the way, try to notice the cobweb - especially in those places where it shouldn't be, simply because there it would not have survived for a long time if people lived in the house.
Take a look inside. Window curtains, curtains and blinds are a sign of habitable homes. They are not in uninhabited houses, just as there is no furniture, carpets, lamps, etc. Also, see if the windows are intact, if the doors are knocked out, if there is a trace of fire.
3
Find the owner. If you are sure that no one lives in the house, then you can try to find the owner. Check your inbox again and see if there are any letters with an address. If you find such, look for the recipient on the network or in the telephone directory, try to contact him. Ask if they lived at the address or if they live there now. If you are asked who you are and why you are calling, tell them that you are ... from the mail about undelivered letters (or something like that). If you got in touch with someone who was just the last tenant of your home, see if you can contact the owner. If they give you the contact details of the owner, call him and tell him the same.
Government aid. You can also contact local authorities and clarify the fate of the building you are interested in there. If you do not know exactly where to call - the telephone directory will help you, choose the most relevant in your opinion
