Clean and well equipped gym at very affordable tariffs. Right in the centre of town.

A few years ago I traveled to Soumy with my wife to visit my in-laws. We ended up staying there for about 2 months and I wanted to get back in the gym after dealing with a very bad case of tricep tendonitis that left me out of the game for over a year (I had pretty much lost all my gains as I wasn't training anymore and eating the sufficient amount needed for sustainability). Anyway long story short I got a membership there with my wife and worked out slow and easy about 3/4 times a week just to ease back into things. The gym was very clean and well maintained - you can tell the staff takes good care of the machines, weights, etc... so no problem there. However when it comes to hospitality... that needs to be worked on. I understand that me being a foreigner in the middle of Ukraine is "different" or considered "weird" to you but the staring and the mumbling behind my back in a language I can't understand every single time I showed up to work out was childish and unnecessary - it felt like they'd never seen anybody else outside their small village before. Other than that everything was on point and they are located downtown which is great.

Not an Overcrowded gym. Good for Serious training. Trainers are really good and they understand english.

A nice and well equipped gym. They have almost every single workout station you can think off. The gym has a small open space for cardio and CrossFit with a fake grass area (very nice touch!). The have a monkey bar area and a separate raised spot with mirror for deadlifts, clean and press, etc. The locker area is clean and they provide you with a key so no need to bring a lock. A day pass was 60 UAH last i checked, but there are several different subscription plans to choose from. Definitely recommended if you're staying in Sumy!
