This area with centuries-old oak trees is a remnant of the former large oak forests, which at the end of the 19th century. still existed along the old channel of the Lybid. Their cutting was started in the 80s of the XIX century in connection with the construction of the Kiev-Odessa railway (Kiev-Balta railway). Near the railway, oak forests existed for quite a long time. On the right bank, until the 20s of the XX century, there was a so-called Shuliavsky (Kadetsky) guy (see uk: Park "Suputnik"), on the left - this old guy remained until our time. A botanical natural monument of local importance was created by the decision of the Kiev City Council No. 147/649 of December 2, 1999 with the aim of preserving, protecting and using the most valuable examples of park construction for aesthetic, educational, environmental, scientific and recreational purposes. Any economic activity is prohibited on the territory of the natural monument, including those leading to damage to natural complexes

A pleasant place with oak trees, it is a pity that it is very small in terms of territory, but among the buildings it is nice to have one and walk through it.
