Since 1992, there was a Dynamo team in Dnepropetrovsk. Her greatest achievement was 6th place in the 1992 championship. In 2011, Dnipro won the first trophy - it was the Super League Cup, in the final of which Azovmash, Mariupol, was beaten with a score of 81:79. Dnipropetrovsk player Steve Burt became the Final Four of the MVPs. In 2012, Dnepr again overtook the crisis - for two consecutive seasons, the team occupied 11th and 12th places. The Golden Age of Dnipro began in 2015, when the team became a finalist of the Ukrainian Cup and won silver medals in the championship. In the 2016/17 season, the team took 3rd place in the championship, and in 2017/18 - again 2nd. In 2018, the Dnipro won the Ukrainian Super Cup for the first time, and in 2019 they won the Golden Double - they won the Cup and the Super Cup of the country. In 2018, Dnipro took part in the qualification of the FIBA ​​Europe Cup, where he won the Greek Lavrio and entered the group round of the tournament, where he played with the Bulgarian Levski Lukoil, the Greek Aris and the Finnish Kataya team. In the Dnipro group, they took last place and dropped out of the tournament. In the 2019/20 season, the team in the FIBA ​​Cup qualification beat the Belarusian “COR-Borisfen” with a score of 81:71 and entered the group round.
