In 1922, the Lviv Joint Stock Company of Brewers and the Austrian firm Mautner & Markhof established the Lysynytsia Factory of Pressed Yeast and Alcohol on this territory. After the war, the Lviv State Yeast Plant was founded on the basis of the factory, after the privatization of which in the late 1990s, the owner became PJSC "Enzyme Company". Today, Enzyme is the largest yeast producer in Ukraine. Leader of the yeast market in the former USSR. The company's products are successfully exported to more than 10 European countries.
