Dr. Eric K. Mathis, DDS

Update if you're looking for a dentist who truly cares, look elsewhere, Mathis doesn't care about your concerns or anyone else opinion about his work and he'll even yell that right in your face multiple times to make it clear.. My last Visit Eric Mathis started yelling at me threw a temper tantrum then stormed out of the room . I went to Mathis for dentures after having major issues with a big corporate franchise dental clinic who couldn't make proper fitting dentures for me because they refused to address my concerns. I explained everything I went through with the other dentist to Mathis and he said he noticed the center line was off amongst other concerns he had and that he would take the time to treat me and make me some new dentures. Well after waiting a few weeks it was time to pick up my new dentures. When I tried them in, I noticed the top dentures didn't fit any better than the previous and that when I bit down the top denture would completely dislodge. He checked them out and said he needed to send them back to get a back tooth reset and that it was ok while in wax because during the process of wax to finish sometimes things shift. A week later I got them and he said to wear them for a couple days. When I got home I noticed the center line was off by like a third of a tooth my sister and nephews noticed right away as well. Well I wore them for 3 days, I had to use lots of adhesive to keep them in , even the bottom arch in which attaches to Implants. On the fourth day I couldn't wear them because I had a sore that hurt to bad on the bottom of my mouth . I called him made appointment for an adjustment. And mentioned the center line was off I even drew a line where I believe the center line should be and he started yelling at me and arguing with me saying HE DIDN'T CARE and I agreed during bite registration that it was centered I told him during wax tryin it was hard to tell because they shifted around a lot. He said wax tryin is just for to check the color and shape of teeth. I also told him that my upper was still dislodging when I bit down same as before he sent them to lab for adjustments. I told him when I bite down, my front teeth hit first causing the back of the plate to pop loose and whole upper plate to fall out and he even saw it happen many times. He tried grinding and making adjustments and nothing changed , I also mentioned the top plate would sort of stay in place until I smiled then they'd fall out, the worst time for that to happen, he was all angry because I don't like the center line and just told me to wear them and left the office. He's no different from the big franchise dentist I had issues with who would rather argue than try to fix the problem. This is why people avoid going to dentists in the first place. All I am asking for is a proper fitting and looking set of dentures and not to be argued with and yelled at by a dentist whose little feelers are hurt because I found issues with his work that I'm paying thousands of dollars for and refuse to accept said issues because addressing them is part of the treatment plan I'm paying for and he agreed to perform in the first place ! By now I realize dentists are not to be trusted when they tell you they'll take care of you yet when it comes to that time they just argue with you and get major attitude and start yelling when you mention any issues with their work, SMH. I Don't recommend Mathis Office, Don't make the same mistake I did, be sure to consult with multiple dentists to find out whose less likely full of it , though at this point I believe they all are! But looks like I'll have to do some consulting anyways, before that though tomorrow first thing I'll be calling the Arkansas State Board Of Dental Examiners and have a nice talk about how Mathis and the other aforementioned dentist likes to argue, yell at their patients over their concerns and insist that they're wrong, ask them if that's the way they train all dentists to interact with their paid patients. .... Then I'll go online and file a formal complaint. Tisk tisk.

My husband and I recently moved to the area and therefore needed a new dentist. I tried this place and SURPRISE I found my new dentist! They are awesome. I had a good experience, and I'm sad to say I'm not the best patient when it comes to needles, drilling noise, and nerves! Thank you! My search was short!

Ok I'm the biggest chicken in the world with dentists, and unfortunately needing all removed and getting dentures. Everyone here is super friendly, and patient with neurotic patients like me. They didn't rush, like many, so I managed to stay calm and relaxed. I felt no pain at all having the 2 hardest ones surgically removed while awake. This practice is a blessing for those that have a true phobia of dentists.

Great place, can swing by on my lunch break, cause close to work, they get you an appointment quick & convenient. I have been going here for about 2-3 years now. Eris is the best & very glad he fixes everything I needed!! Highly recommend them & im still going back for checkups & cleans...

I also don't like dentist but Dr. Erik Mathis has seen to my dental needs with care and great chair side manor. I recomend him to anyone who is looking for a great dentist.
