My first experience in this particular store. I only stopped because it was convenient and on my way home. At first the lady behind the counter was polite until it seemed they didn’t have what I was looking for. The lady then wouldn’t stopping asking what I was looking for I told her and she said “I don’t have that but we have this” I informed her that my wife is picky and wanted a certain brand of whiskey and then the lady replied “that I can then go be picky somewhere else”. Very rude first and last time I step in that place. Side note the place smells very bad of heavy smoke not good for non smokers.

I feel like the other two reviews aren't exactly being fair or reasonable, given the context of the store. Yes, this is a small, local liquor store. I'm pretty sure the lady who runs it also runs the bar down the street (literally, because it is Ossian and therefore a very small town). But we were highly impressed. She has a pretty cool mix of big-name standards and weird, special options that you can tell she takes the time to find and order so that the people who live there can get something good and unique if they want it. We were able to get two different six packs of craft IPAs for a friend's cookout for less than what we would have in Fort Wayne and almost bought a special limited bottle of Bulleit bourbon that I haven't seen anywhere outside of Kentucky. So is this place small? Yes, it's in an old house. Is the selection limited? Sure, by nature of it being small. That doesn't mean that you can't find a good quality option. Give it a fair chance, and it'll exceed your expectations for sure.
