Providence Park is home to the Portland Timbers, a team whose fans are just as exhilarating to watch of the game. While not the largest stadium around, it's a beautiful stadium with a well thought out layout that allows for easy exit and a good view from nearly anywhere in the stadium.nnIf you want to truly experience a Timbers game, get a general admission ticket and sit in the Timbers Army. It's been described as a religious experience, in which you'll get in touch with your tribal roots as you are caught up in the chanting.nnIf you do sit in general admission, makes sure to get there early. If not you may end up stuck the upper corners, which have a limited view of the field.

It's been closed for over a year now to the public but this is a newly remodeled and freshly renovated Stadium to the tune of 18 million dollars worth !! It's clean, up to date, and one of the largest venues in the country. During the Soccer season when open it doesn't matter if it's the timbers or the thorns the roar of the spectators alone will have the goosebumps all over your body and the energy from the crowd is just amazing !! The whole area is saturated with the team's colors and business is booming in a 3 mile radius with not a single place to park from as early as 11:00 a.m. til 4:00 a.m. the following day before someone who leaves opens up a spot for someone who lives downtown can actually come back home and find a place to park. Recommended for die hard fans for sure !! You name it there is everything under the sun around to enjoy before the game as well as afterwards.

Grew up playing soccer, and I never really followed pro soccer until I lived in Portland for a bit. Timbers games are like no other sporting event, every game is a blast and Thorns are great as well, shout out to my friends that have played for them!

Amazing. The best sports venue. The Thorns and Timbers Games are without a doubt 2 of the coolest events to go to here in Portland. My husband introduced me to their soccer teams over four years ago and I have never looked back. Thank you everyone (fans and staff) for making such an awesome experience EVERY time we visit, win or lose. Now if only we could get our hands on season tickets...

We generally have a good time going to watch the Timbers play. The last game we went to we had tickets in a section where snacks and drinks are included. They concessioners bring out hit dogs, pretzels, chips, licorice, etc. Usually it's kind of like an all you can eat. They bring a couple rounds of the hot food and then switch to snack foods. Also they were giving out gummy bears this time which was new but the frustrating part was they seemed really stingy with the food which they usually never are. It was my wife and our boys so 4 in total. Doesn't seem to unreasonable to ask for 8 hot dogs, two each, but she made it seem like it was too many to ask for. When they came out with the gummy bears they ran out right before they got to us and said sorry they are all gone. I mean seriously? It's a preseason game and it wasn't crowded like normal so they should have had plenty to go around. The Timbers win or lose, Awesome! The concessions needs some work :(
