Staff are very friendly,nmeat are fresh and of course halal. Variety of cuts (steak, stew, ribeye, ground beef ... etc) , price is reasonable.
I’m planning on visiting here on 10/03/20 but I wanted to add a review to mention the confusion regarding the location in another review. I’m almost certain the address listed, 1227 N. Sagamore, is correct (it’s directly next to Safari Global Market) but neither of the geotag codes or whatever they’re called are quite right. It’s definitely not the one listed in the Google Maps entry or the one suggested by the business owner, although both are very nearby. Just go by the address, I’m sure that’ll be the best way to find it. A sign or something would probably help, but I’m just looking at street view so maybe there is one now, I’ll update once I stop by. I’m giving it five stars in advance because I strongly support having a halal butcher in the Lafayette area, especially a zabihah halal butcher (although I would think meat would have to be zabihah to be halal, but I’m not an expert or even Muslim so I can’t say for sure). Actually I’m basically vegetarian but I’m glad that there is a convenient source of halal meat for local Muslims and I support the humane slaughter of animals for consumption over the alternative.nnI hope this information is accurate and helpful. Had the opportunity to talk to the owner :) This place is new and has a lot of potential to expand and add more inventory as they grow a solid customer base. Had various selections on beef, chicken and lamb with competitive prices. Will be coming back soon! Also, Google Maps takes you to the cemetery. This store is located next to Safari Global Market and Sharma’s Kitchen. So glad there’s now a proper halal meat store in Lafayette! Definitely check this place out.
Great shop! Has a large selection of halal meats and middle eastern spices and foods! I found lebne and thin Arabic bread in Lafayette and had a little party! Go support this business!
A good and perhaps, only local zabihah halal shop with reasonable prices. The brother claims that the meats are hand-slaughtered, that is hard to find anywhere.
