I am happy to report that this was not in person. If it had been, I truly believe that Jim would have treated me differently. Right from the beginning of our over the phone conversation, Jim was extremely rude and socially discriminatory toward me and others in which he was referring to. This gives me a good indicator that I would have been treated differently by the type of car I drive, the profession I have and the location in which I live. Jim treated me as though I wouldn’t have a nice car, I wouldn’t have a successful career within and national corporation that has been around a lot longer than his small third party insurance company... or for anything that I am actually worth.nIf you’ve made it this far, I’m sure you’re asking the same question that I was... Why is Jim picking me apart, while knowing absolutely nothing about me?nWell, what had happened is that I told Jim of an insurance company in which I have already done business with. Completely unrelated to the renters insurance I was contacting him for. Jim informed me that this company was for “murderers, scum bags, drunks, people who kill people” (I know what a murderer is, but Jim felt the need for a definition and I wanted to be sure to quote him precisely)nFor the reason above, Jim would only give me a quote if I dropped the other company and set up a “bundle” insurance pack with his company.nnWell... I didn’t want to do that. I’m very happy with said other company for the insurance they provide.nnI don’t care if Jim doesn’t want my money for insurance. I don’t care if Jim only offers bundles of insurance policies or nothing at all.nnWhat I do care about, as an extremely active member of this community, is discrimination against others, especially for absolutely no reason. There are organizations within the Lafayette area that are set to end this kind of behavior from small and large business owners within the community. Jim is no exception to this rule.nnAs a decent human being, you do not treat others with the discrimination and disrespect that Jim displayed to me today. As a business, at the very least... have basic communication skills.nnWether the community is looking for insurance or not, I will use my voice to avoid this business and this man at all cost and to be sure to let others know of the poorly classed experience that I have endured.nnOur community has come a far way against discrimination and Jim is a part of the resistance within equality that we deserve.

Very informative, gave me a lot of good information for adding on to my policy.

I called him to get a quote on a summer home that was not going to be our primary residence. Told him this information. He gives me a quote and explains to me that no one will be able to touch his price. He asked when would I my decision and I said in a week or so. I call him back to get the insurance, he pulls up my quote and proceeds to tell me he cant insure the home because it was not going to be our primary residence. Which he know!!! I told him that would have been nice to know and the response was, yep your right. Now our closing for the house is delayed....One unhappy person here.

Jim has always been available, whether by phone or in his office. He's knowledgeable and helpful. I've appreciated his assistance on a number of occasions.

I agree with Dan Walker. Go look else where for quality service. More worried about his parking lot than providing good customer service. Has definitely lost a customer. Will tell everyone i know not to use him.
