Lafayette Church of Christ

Pretty building inside and out. Everyone is friendly and the sermons are easy to understand. If you are looking for a church, then you should consider here, although the Lafayette area has many loving congregations willing to take you in and build you up.

The sermon was awesome...what I could hear of it. I'm very hard of hearing. The sound system is old and very bass heavy, therefore, very hard to hear. The speakers mumbled and did not try to project...almost like they were afraid to speak too loud. Children were kept in the service and so that made for another hearing distraction. Crying, talking, general play sounds and parents talking to their children were wayyyyy to much for me. Only once before have I attended a non-instrumental church. It was ok. I knew most of the songs as they still sing from the hymnal. I don't think I heard a one of the prayers for all of the above reasons, but also everyone bowed their heads. For someone that relys heavly on facial cues it made me very uncomfortable. Sorry...I won't be returming, however friendly the people were before church.

This group of saints has made me feel like family since I joined three years ago. We are simply Christians trying to help each other get to heaven by following God's word as He revealed it through the bible. We have bible classes for all ages 6 months through adult and worship services that include congregational singing, preaching, prayer, and communion. We welcome any and all visitors!

I've worshipped here my whole life so I'm biased, but the people here are great-- they love God and each other so much.

Solid church but no Christmas decorations and do not let women lead songs or read announcements.
