We hired Mayflower Transit for a long distant haul from PA to Idaho. I should have cancelled the move when the driver showed up with a tractor trailer mostly full with other movers, when we clearly was estimated we would need a full trailer ourselves, and part of it would have to be loaded in another truck. When I complained about the driver called me names I can't in here. That should have been my second reason for cancelling. Nieve, and worried that the new buyer of the house had to take possession, I ignored my intuition and moved forward. Of course now I know if the driver does not like you your stuff will be thrown around, thrown away, and destroyed. Also I should warn you to forget about their insurance because they work for the moving company and will fight you all of the way to pay for nothing. I should tell you that I had many antiques and collectibles, and clearly lost $20000. It has now been 2 years and although I was not awarded only about $450.00 I have not even seen that. By the way this after I had documented hours and worked through the national transportation service, this is it. If you have a large claim go to an attorney as they have numerous attorneys working for them, and doing yourself you will lose.
