Went there for New Year's Eve drinks. The bartender was nice until my card was declined. He slammed it on the bar and yelled out loud that it was declined. I gave him another card as i have several and paid for my tab. The bar was nasty and there were people trying to sell me drugs at the front door. I'M sure there were drug deals going on inside as well. Will never step foot in this place again.

So Happy to say that I still love the Republic, last time we went I wasn't sure if we would go back. Still a favorite restaurant. Food was great.

what a terrible spot. the build is a dirty labyrinth. the servers and bartender not only lacked customer service skills but were flat out rude. The place was basically empty but service still took an exceptionally long time. no redeeming qualities at all. i got the sense that this is how it is and they have no interest in changing or improving. i hope it works out for them.
