The owners are lovely people - genuinely friendly and happy to answer questions. They are also true artists. Their chocolate is delicious and made with love and care. I’ll be back next time I’m in Santa Fe!

Tours are interesting and informative, they will change the way you look at chocolate. Everything we have tried has been wonderful, but my absolute favorites are the truffles. Many genuinely gluten-free options, my husband adores the gluten-free brownies. The little chocolate drink things are to die for. Had to edit this review from six months ago because Melanie's truffles have helped me survive this quarantine!

This is a really fun place to go to, especially if you love chocolate. A tour of the place is well worth the money. Very interesting and educational experience. You also get to make your own chocolate drink and it was surprisingly good. I have stopped for coffee and chocolate while shopping for the day on Cerrillos for a nice little break. Great place to bring out-of-town guests as well.

As a chocolate maker who used to have my own home business I can say that; this place has some of the best chocolate I've ever had! The class was wonderful, the owner/teacher was super knowledgeable. The only downside is they're expensive. $10 for a bar $2.50 for a piece.

I've been to Art of Chocolate/Cacao twice now. Once for the factory tour (recommended) and a second time with a friend to try a flight of hot chocolate. The chocolate here is phenomenal! A must try for anyone visiting town or for locals. I'm currently working on a bar of "Prickly pear, lime, and hibiscus" dark chocolate that is mind blowing. The flight of hot chocolate was wonderful on the day we visited. Note: they aren't kidding about the pepper ratings on the spicy scales. Much to try here from chocolate bars to truffles to drinks. The prices are fairly high, but the quality is so far above any other chocolate, it's worth it.
