Beautiful bookstore with a nice collection of older books. Located in the old residential part of downtown South Bend, there’s just something special and almost magical about this place. All bookstores are great but the selection, ambiance, and charm of this small, independently owned store make it a must visit for any book fan.

Oh man you go into a book store and nothing smells better than old books ud83dude00nnI’ve been to all of the book stores here in SB and any book store is better than a movie theater any day but this one is my constant to visit any time u come to South Bend.nnThe prices here you’ll find match with other “online” services or at times are even cheaper!nnCome here with taking your time in mind and just browse all the selection they have here or if you want ask the own what your looking for if your short on time.nnYou’ll be surprised how informative and professional this book store is!nnI like to let them know my past books I’ve liked and have them chose one for me and I’ve been happy each and every time .nnThis place is a winner for sure.nnNuf’ said!

Best selection of used books in town. Books are very well organized and selective in inventory. Organized by genre. Hardback fiction, non-fiction, history separated by era and place, theology, children’s literature, political non-fiction, Art, collectibles, classics, poetry, philosophy....the list goes on. Charming owner, beautiful old home near down-town, the farmer’s market and local walking paths. Gems to be found!

Erasmus is my favorite bookstore in the country. The home in which it is located is reminiscent of a Frank Lloyd Wright design, and its shelves are so carefully curated with rare and gently used volumes. Quiet and friendly, one should plan to wander for some time.

A treasure trove for readers! Housed in a historic Craftsman style house, several rooms are filled with an extensive assortment of gently used and out of print books. I could have happily gotten lost there for days! Highly recommended.
