Named for my grandma who was St. Joe County’s first female County Commissioner and Auditor. She spent much of her retirement in the garden and would have loved this place. Honored to know her memory lives on here.
This is a former landfill that has been turned into a nature preserve with gravel walking trails. There are lots of birds to see if you're a birder, a few miles of trails. We love to come here on Saturday afternoons with the kids - it's a place for them to safely ride their bikes beyond the confines of the driveway.
What a wonderful nature preserve! If you are a birder, it is a great place to see a variety of grassland birds, as well as a diverse collection of plants and wildflowers. Highly recommended to bird and nature lovers!
A very nice place for a country walk. Lots of birds around for the bird lovers like me :)
Couldn't find a place to part. Very poor signage!
