Great winery! Bob (the owner) is very knowledgeable and personable. Ask him about the story behind each wine you taste - he is an excellent chemist and never compromises bold flavor for quantity of product. Tasting prices are cheap in comparison to many Dundee and Newberg wineries I have visited, and the wine is better! This is by far my favorite winery in the Portland metro area.
Love their wines! Seven Bridges is one of only two wineries whose wine club my wife and I joined. Their wines are made exclusively with Washington grapes (sorry, Oregon, but some wines require grapes that don't do well here). The reds are bold and spicy and wonderful. Their Chardonnay is decent but we're in it for the reds. Cool people, great wines, all inside Portland city limits. Gotta love urban wineries.
Great wine in an old warehouse down by the east side waterfront
Great, big, red wines! Nice variety in wines. Keep in mind, some wines are young. They are very different immediately after opening and much smoother once they sit for a few years in the bottle or if an aerator is used and decantered.
Homey, comfortable, and low-key; it’s the perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon. Service was friendly and informative without being overbearing, and they are generous with the free snacks. I particularly enjoyed the Syrah, and I look forward to going back.
