Named for my wife's grandfather, Robert Arvidson. He's a WWII veteran who served under General Patton in North Africa and Europe. The park was built his father, who largely started the subdivision. The City of Portage took the park over a few years ago, renamed it, faced community backlash, and changed the name back again.nnIt's just a community park for local kids to play. There's no special attraction to bring kids here for. But it's named after a great but humble man and that alone makes it worthy of a review.
Cute little playground, but not well maintained. Equipment was dirty/moldy, paint peeling, old mulch... nothing unsafe, and my kid had fun though.
A great little park in a residential community here in NWI. Ideal for kids 4 or younger and is complete with some picnic tables for mom and dad.
Great for a neighborhood park :)
