The hotel is very well maintained, the staff is really nice and helpful. The rooms are very clean. There is a pool which is very nice. Its an older hotel so it is a little outdated but the staff keeps it really clean. The desk employees were very helpful, They helped with letting me know where the restaurants were and which were better to go too. My experience was really good. Thank you to all the staff you all couldn't have been more nicer or helpful wonderful. I will recommend them

Currently staying at the Baymont Inn in Portage, the hospitality is fantastic. The woman working around 2am on Saturday (10/17) was so helpful and kind. The rooms were nice, everything was clean and spotless. The showers are fantastic, amazing water pressure. The room was a little dark. There’s only one very dim overhead light when you first enter the room. Otherwise you have to rely on lamps. The shower also makes an extremely loud squealing noise. Due to Covid-19 they have suspended the hot breakfast however they had a decent selection of stuff you could take to go. Would definitely stay here again.

After driving all night we decided staying in a hotel was our best option. Our first impression was the gentlemen we spoke to on the phone. He was friendly and very helpful in directing us there. He sped up our check in and made us feel welcome. We were relieved to find a clean hotel with friendly staff at a fair price.

Second floor hallway near elevator smelled of cat pee. My first room smelled like pets, was very dark with a shoeprint on the sheet. I requested a different room which smelled better and a bit cleaner. One towel was crispy like it had been cleaned with chemicals, second towel was well worn with a hole in it. Bathroom stayed steamy for hours after my shower so bathroom vent wasn't working properly. Pretty dated hotel, could definitely use some updates. Was mostly disappointed because I paid over $100 for the stay. I've stayed in much better for near half the price.nThe help desk (Collette) was extremely helpful with good customer service!

Older hotel, but served our purposes for a one night stay with our dog and visiting the Indiana Dunes. Not many dog friendly options in the area, but this one had a reasonable $20 pet fee for the night. There is a small pet relief area in the back of the hotel, but not much else around the immediate area to walk your dog. Check in process was fairly easy: front desk staff member did not wear a mask, but they were behind a plexiglass window.
