The care and caring that the Chesterton Manor gave starts at the top and goes thru out the whole facility. Each one of the employees play an important part in our loved ones care. They were a comforting extention of our family due to the COVID issues. We felt confident that our family member was getting the best care we could possible get with us not being there. They made arrangements for us to visit (6ft apart and masked) in a wonderful setting outside in the fresh air. Then when things came close to an end, the compassion was once again extented and we were able to stay and be close to him when he passed away. Our needs were met, and respected thru his stay. Thank you does not say enough. Every employee is so much more to us than just a caregiver and provider, they gave us so much more from their hearts, and that is the difference from this local facility to others in the community. Peace be with each and everyone of you. The Donald Peterson Family!!

I live over seas but was able to visit my mother recently in Duneland Manor. I was so pleased with the quality of care. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. My mother is always busy with activities, fed well and kept clean. Even though I am far away I am rest assured she is well looked after.

Chesterton Manor has been an absolute blessing not only to and for my mother but to and for my entire family. I’m a young man faced with the challenge of making sure my mother receives the best care possible. In the past I felt as if I was letting my mother down leaving her at certain places that I won’t name. I’ve drove away from places crying, wondering if my mother would be treated fairly. Recently my worst fears seem to be true. My mom had bruises that could not be explained. With no plan I took her from where she was instantly. I visited Chesterton Manor and loved it but yet I chose another facility and the reason was only because I felt my mom needed a locked unit. The staff at Chesterton Manor assured me that Mom would be great but I didn’t listen. (Smh) I took my mom to another facility that had a locked unit here in NWI. In only 3 days I witnessed some horrible things. I seen residents hitting residents with no one insight looking after them, I seen urein puddles on the floor, I witnessed a worker roll a resident into a wall and giggle, and the staff was just extremely unprofessional. I called Chesterton Manor and asked if they would still be willing to take my mother and right away they made the transfer happen. It’s now been about 4 months and this place is still amazing. I knew I was in the right place as a Pastor when on the first day one of the nurses grabbed my hands and we had prayer right in the middle of the hallway. My mother’s aids and nurses are awesome. One in particular braids my mother’s hair weekly. They go beyond providing excellent care for my mother. Because of my work schedule I visit at weird hours at times. One night at almost midnight I showed up to a nurse laughing and singing with my mom. I listened through the door for about 3 mins because I didn’t want to interrupt. Even the director who told me to bring my mom in the first place is great. He and all the workers seem to really enjoy working together and providing great care. In closing I haven’t had a chance to really allow my mind to relax in 2 years but I finally feel comfortable and assured that my mother is in good hands and I thank God for and appreciate all the workers of Chesterton Manor. On behalf of my entire family. Thank You!!!!nnAntwon
