My street (Rainier Rd. 46385, located in Salt Creek) will retain large amounts of water every time it rains. This is a potential liability that has not been properly taken care of. After purchasing our home in March of 2019, we noticed that after each rainfall a lake will form in front of our house, and surrounding neighbors. This is something that was never mentioned during the purchase of our home, and they indicated that our home was not in a flood zone. Our neighbors also informed us that this flooding is a new occurrence, which brings some credibility to the seller. It’s so bad that our house has been featured on ABC 7 morning news. Some efforts were done to try to correct this issue, but none have prevailed. This drainage issue has been a nightmare for my family and I. It will take around 6-24 hours to drain and will leave us trapped inside our house, as the water levels will severely damage our vehicles. Another issue, is that I am a full time college student and I also work an important job and can not afford to be late. I have filed a drainage request form every time. So far the latest answer that I received has been to park down the street, which is not very ideal with a pregnant wife and a baby that is under a year old.
