Hadn't been to the Peru museum since I was a teenager. I always will remember the elephant skull. Plus I hadn't been in the building since it was Senger's department store. To bad they couldn't restore the pulley system that sent the payments to the office. It was an amazing contraption.
An excellent place to learn some history about everything. I saw a lot of interesting artifacts and items. I took my 8-year-old and 10-year-old son here. They were not excited at first but after we started looking and reading they seemed to enjoy it.nIt was free and was something we did after visiting the Grissom Air Force Base. Good time and was able to learn some interesting things.
Super nice staff. Kid friendly.
Cole Porter memorabilia and his fully restored 1955 Cadillac. Peru business from the past represented in a street with shops. Victorian rooms depicted nicely. Indian bead work, dugout canoe and cigar store Indians. Lots to see!
Fun place to explore and experience history.
