Took a vintage 2 carat diamond ring in to sell and was cheated. All I asked was for a fair price. Now he is selling it as from his personal collection for $25,000.00. Way more than the not fair price he paid me. Must not be chipped anymore and definitely over 2 carats not under. Not a jeweler to trust.

This is the only jewelry store I use for special orders. Susan, the manager is super knowledgeable about common problems and repairs, so I will definitely be using them in the future for repairing my jewelry should any need it. I don't know if they do the repairs in-house, or send it out for repair, though. This is a worthwhile question if it matters to you.nnI ordered a new screw back for a pair of platinum earrings, and the price was way better than anywhere I'd looked online. A few years ago, I also ordered a bracelet here that was cheaper through Gilbert's than anywhere else including online. My significant other also bought me a gorgeous pair of black diamond earrings here. Today I picked up a custom made necklace from Gilbert Jewelers in Peru, Indiana. It is made from the wedding bands that my mother-in-law and father-in-law exchanged on June 8, 1941.
