I've been goin to this dealership exclusively for over 20 years. I've always had telmon and had great experience and felt like family. However, last November I took my wife to him to purchase a brand new Durango. I asked about receiving the referral money they offer when you send someone and they purchase a vehicle. He kinda laughed it off and never said anything else about it. Well, now it's up for an oil change and I find out we didn't negotiate that in when we purchased. So partially my fault, but for all the vehicles I've purchased there it's been included. Something changed here. They used to go above and beyond for customers. Now, it feels like they are arrogant and don't care if they have my business. I'm sure most will get a good deal here. I no longer feel welcomed as I once did.
Routine oil change turned into $3,100 service bill.nnMy grand cherokee was driving perfectly when I dropped it off to service department for oil change, but they called me 2 hours later explaining that after they drove it back to their service department, they could no longer get it into gear. They said it had a stuck valve and needed a valve body replacement that cost $3,100. After complaining that my Jeep was driving perfectly when I dropped it off, they apologized and explained that vehicles randomly break all the time, but they could do “employee wholesale” pricing and dropped the price to $2,500. Instead of continuing to complain, I just agreed to pay the $2,500 for an issue I had never personally experienced. Will be the last time I bring a vehicle to Grissom. Would be 1 star, but 2 stars because they did let me drive a Jeep Compass for a week and a half while this issue was being resolved. They were very nice, just a very off situation
The salesmen there are fantastic. They don't pressure you to buy anything, but they'll show you the differences between all the trims and what they come with and what they don't. For example, today my salesman and I built a Gladiator Sport, Willys, and 80th Anniversary. He showed me the differences, printed everything out, and added or deleted things I wanted or didn't want. He also explained what things were, in which he also printed them out. Fantastic customer service here.
