La Porte County Highway Department

Hwy 35 was almost impassable at 8:45 this morning coming from Michigan City to LaPorte. People are going to church, shopping, maybe have an emergency visit to the hospital, etc. At this time om Sunday morning, lots of people are out on the roads.nThere's no excuse for hwy 35 not to have been plowed by 9:00 am.

They fixed the roads

Highway department resurfaced my road over 1year ago.now they are doing another road by me taking the old road surface and dumping it on the shoulders of are road,and my lawn where i mow my grass.now there are large chunks of rocks and gravel that will miss up my mower.they tell me it stops the road from cracking.i say what does a 1/2 inch by the road and 6-8 inchs in my yard do just ruin my mower.
