Just got back from Hawaii and so happy to find an authentic place cooked by an islander. He has made the best Kalua pork and the pasta salad was better than what we had at the luau!!! Love it and will be back. Thank you both!! I highly recommended this place.
The hours can make it hard to get their food but it's phenomenal if you can
Love there food and service, I do recomend to a visit before the owners go back to the islands
Always look at their website to make sure they are open. The owners do travel back and forth to the islands so making sure that a long trek isn't done in futility, look at their facebook site and verify. This last trip, they put up a new fence around the location. Reminds me of some of the fencing on the islands. It does add to the charm of the place and makes it in my opinion - easily more pleasant for walk ups to sit down and eat.. What is my Friday meal? Poke with brown rice - extra sauce - hot & spicy. Two orders because if I get it and not bring any back for the better half ...... Also a pulled pork bowl with the brown rice. Is this a place I travel 10 miles for? Well, it is 15 miles from my house. Going into Salem on a Friday, I plan on stopping here. Why Friday? That is the only day for Poke.
I happily go here once a week and the teriyaki meatballs are AMAZING!!! The owner's are super friendly and prices are very reasonable. ud83dude0eud83dudc4d
