Salem Transitional Care

I do not recommend this place. During COVID even worse! My 85 year old Mom was there for 4 weeks recovering from pneumonia. I have no proof to show, but one time I was on the phone with my mom for 45min after she hit her call button before a nurse came. I would visit outside the window with my mom and her call button would be on the floor. I would wait for 20+ minutes after my mom pressed her call button before someone even come to close the window. They lost some of her clothes and we got home with clothes that weren't even my moms. I could go on and on.....grateful my mom survived and is at home now. She has made more progress in 1 week of home PT then she had the 4 weeks in that crazy place. Wish I didn't have to leave this type of message, but felt I needed too.

Horrible place. I do not recommend Salem Transitional care. My cousin went there and they. Treated her horribly and she almost died .not to mention when my mom worked there they screwed her over and railroaded her out of there. Not a good place to put your loved one.

After a six week stay there, I have only very positive things to say about Salem Transitional Care! I arrived after a fall resulting in several broken bones and a hip replacement. I was also still very week from my condition before the fall. The staff was very caring, helpful and encouraging. The therapy staff was knowledgeable, encouraging and compassionate. The meals were good, and the facility is very clean! If there was a concern it was immediately addressed to my satisfaction. I'm very grateful for all of their help!

My father in law has been in and out of the hospital and will only go to This Facility. He loves the nurses, the care and attentiveness. The PT and OT are top of the line. They even work to get services set up before you go home. The facility is clean, staff is very nice, and the rooms are spacious.
