White River Canoe Company

I am extremely disappointed in the cancelation policy. I am a first responder who works nights. I had to schedule time off in order to take a day trip with my significant other. A few hours prior to the departure time of our day trip, I received an email from white river canoe company that our reservation was cancelled even though it was 90 degrees and sunny. Although I was frustrated that I lost a vacation day, I figured I would get a refund. When I called, they refused to give me my money back. All they wanted to offer is a rain check valid for the season. Most companies will not only give you a refund but find a way to make it right. All I asked for was to get a refund so that I could plan a day trip once it is convenient for us. I urge anyone thinking about planning a trip here to think twice about it. I cannot state enough how disappointed I am in the staff and the company as a whole. 0 out of 10, would. Not recommend.

Really nice float. Easy check in process. Few things that aren’t included that should be: float direction and key markers are given orally on the bus and can be easy to miss. Dry bags aren’t provided. There are no bungees on the kayaks to secure your own stuff. If that stuff was fixed/provided would give 5 stars.

This place is awesome!! We got checked in fast and they have a nice little bus ride to the river. The tubes have backs to them and cup holders and the river was so nice. We found a lot of big, shiny shells. They have an area that's sandy to swim in to take a break from the tubing and lots of nature to look at while you're relaxing. We had a great time!

I stopped by one day to see how this process worked. I was told we needed to reserve online in advance but was offered a spot just because the next group had not got there yet. I declined after several offers. The group began to show up so we left because it became very crowded very quickly. So my party of 5 reserved our tubes and a cooler tube almost a month in advance. When we arrive we are told that we would have to wait for a truck load of tubes because all the tubes were given to the walk-ins. After waiting about 30-45 minutes a truck came but had very few cooler tubes and back rest tubes (which we were told to reserve) We used another tube for the cooler which it was too large for. About 45 minutes into the float I noticed my tube was slowly deflating. So we had to switch and maneuver our life jackets and the deflating tube to hold up the cooler.nWhile on the water we noticed several groups that had multiple cooler tubes. I asked 2 of the groups if they reserved them and the both replied NO they were all walk-ins. I forgot to mention that because we waited for tubes, by the time we were in the water we were rushing to try to get to the end before our time was up and were charged late fees. I enjoyed the idea of the experience and would love to try it again but not with this company. I feel like my time is important and if I am asked to plan and reserve in advance I expect to have what I reserved when I get there.

Great 2 day trip with a stop at the campground overnight. Had the kayaks ready for us both times! Very smooth weekend.
