I have been a Marriott member for years. We have always had great experiences at most of their hotels we stay at. Of course some have had some issues, but congratulations Fairfield, you have officially made us Hilton members for life.nWe felt completely unsafe from the moment we walked through the door. The hotel appeared to be filled to capacity that weekend due to sporting events in town. There must have been at least 30-40 adults downstairs hanging out in the lobby not wearing masks, not social distancing even though the hotel has a mask mandate in place. However, with that being said, you can't enforce something when YOUR OWN STAFF DO NOT FOLLOW THE RULES! Despite the sign on the door stating that a mask is required, the gentleman who checked us in, we were still confused if he worked there or not as he wasn't wearing any uniform. Nothing but a hat, an adidas t-shirt, and some kind of windbreaker jacket. At night, the girl working the front desk was wearing a crop top with no mask. In addition, the elevator apparently wasn't working for a bit and we had to walk up 4 flights of stairs carrying our luggage.nnThe total and complete disregard for CDC guidelines is one of the reasons why Indiana COVID cases is on the rise again. I'm sure you can imagine that as a result, we will NEVER be staying here again and whenever asked will always deter people from the same. I am also a Hilton Honors member and they are doing it right. When we walked into their hotel in NW Indiana, we knew who worked there and they were doing all that they could to make their guests feel safe. They have just earned the business you lost.

Rooms are clean and staff is very polite, friendly, and helpful. Good location and good value.

Beautiful hotel with clean & modern lobby and rooms. Very nice amenities, including exercise room and pool in a beautiful residential neighborhood.

Never stayed. I booked 3 nights for a baseball tournament and inadvertently booked the wrong week. Yes, I did agree to the cancellation policy of one night charged if I didn’t cancel the day before. I discovered it the morning of the arrival date. I called hotels.com and they said they would have to call the hotel. The hotel was going to charge me the full price of the 3 night stay for canceling, which wasn’t even the policy I agreed to. Hotels.com got them to agree to one night charged only. All I was doing was changing my reservation to the following week. I called the hotel directly myself and pleaded with the manager. I explained that baseball was very expensive and we do not have the money to throw away money like that. We do a lot of tournaments and just got confused, especially with COVID and dates being moved all around, and asked if she could please make an exception. She would not budge. I told her the rest of our team was staying there and that I would be sure to let them know and maybe they would decide to change to another hotel. She laughed and said she’d be glad if they would because they are overbooked for the following week. I said that was not very nice to laugh like that and to treat me like that. She said thank you and have a nice day. I said, so you’re just going to hang up on me. I said if you do, I’m calling corporate because that is just unprofessional. She said, thank you and have a nice day and hung up. I never did call corporate, I probably should have...decided to write this review instead. Yes I messed up, but they are very uncaring and unprofessional and I would not recommend this hotel. There are MANY other hotels in Carmel. Do NOT choose this one if you care about being treated with understanding and kindness. They do not have it.

The room was very clean but I was VERY disappointed to see there were no inforcement on using masks.nLot of guests sitting at the table on the back gathering , no one using masks
