I'm baffled by so many poor reviews. I've been a member for around 8 years, and have had nothing but excellent experiences. I've set up a business bank account with them, have a personal checking and savings with them, and have taken out at least 6 car loans, 2 motorcycle loans, and a motorhome loan. They are always respectful of my time. Often times I am able to call and have many processes already began before I even arrive.nI've worked in customer relations and sales for 15 plus years, and have very high expectations.nSalem branch, Oregon Community Credit Union has my stamp of approval.
I just went to create a savings account, they have a special called the ignite account, good rates. Well they ran my credit for an installment loan. What the (*&^@#%@^%#??? I ask for no loans, nor gave them permission ( maybe in the small print ) to do such! I'm hoping to close this account before it ever opens and will never bank with them.
I have been doing business with OCCU for years and have never had a single problem; they are friendly, knowledgeable, super helpful, and their rates are quite good. I've enjoyed their service so much that I have switched as many of my accounts and transactions to them as possible!
TERRIBLE customer service. Super rude. I can never have my questions answered. They never address my concerns. Today specifically I talked with Juanita from card services. I will never recommend this credit union, they are the same as a corporate bank.
