City of Muncie

Absolutely awful the worst office i have ever experienced. I’ve called the office exactly 102 times and have never once gotten an answer. They suspended my license for a ticket that i paid and seem he’ll bent on not rectifying their mistake. So that i can get my license reinstated. This has been going on for over a year and keep in mind i have a car that i making payments on during this time. So basically without a valid driver’s license I’ve been paying $300 bucks a month for an expensive lawn ornaments. This is completely ridiculous.

Absolutely terrible. You’ll probably be dead or in jail before you get a chance to speak to anyone to resolve your issues at this place. They don’t even have the common courtesy to put you in a waiting room/on hold. If they don’t answer the phone just hangs up.

I did not have a pleasant experience with the City Clerk's Office. I was issued a parking ticket one minute AFTER I put coins in the meter, which should have lasted me 2 hours. I do not know how the officer did not see me put coins in the meter, as he was in very close proximity. In order to appeal my ticket, I followed the directions on the back of the ticket I was issued and went to the City Clerks Office. At the office a woman listened to my issue, typed an appeal, and informed me that I would have to call the officer (officer Hahn) who issued my ticket, personally. She gave me his phone number and I proceeded to play phone tag with him for a few days. He finally left me a message instructing me to follow the directions on the back of my ticket in order to get an appeal-- which I had already done. I called the City Clerk's office again and they informed me that my appeal had been declined and my only other option was to go to court over it. Albeit my ticket was only $18, but I am a college student so every dollar counts... and I did not violate any parking rules whatsoever. I felt as if I was jumping through loops. How this situation was dealt with does not encompass the spirit of Muncie, in my opinion. Overall, I was disappointed with the lack of professionalism and clear communication.
