The positives:n1. Great workoutn2. Beautiful view at the top of gods thumb.n3. Its nice that when your done you can take an alternate way going from the beach back to the parking lot if you parked there.nnNegatives:n1. Extremely steep in the beginning, if your not that great at cardio this is not a beginners hike at the start. Good thing is tho that its only about a mile of extreme steepness.n2. Gods thumb itself is pretty steep as well so its not so bad going up because there are carved in makeshift steps but going down is a bit scary. I fell and hurt my arm catching myself but was overall fine.nnWould I do it again- No. But was nice to do it/mark it off the list.nnTip: I would recommend parking at the trail head, not at the beaches parking lot. We parked near the beach at the parking lot and had to trek through town and it was a pretty steep hill to walk up, when we could have saved time/energy if we just parked at the top near where the trail starts. But I mean its not a big deal either way.

Due to the erosion and high traffic volume, extreme care is needed to protect this unique place. Views unlike anywhere else, this hike is good for intermediate hikers and above. It remains muddy most of the year and you will walk thru a few creeks. Please use caution if you hike to the top. It is dangerous if you chose to hike all the way up.

Gorgeous view! This hike has gotten popular in the past few years; so park wisely.nPLEASE! Don't drag your little kids or small dogs on this hike. Not only is the trail steep, the kids and especially dogs won't know the difference and not care about the view anyway.

It is a good place for people who like hiking. Not too difficult but you will have to climb a little bit to reach the top, I went on a day after rain and it was muddy all along and a bit of slippery so prepare yourself when it rains. I saw a lot of people with kids as well as dogs so you should be fine on a beautiful day.

This is a moderate trail. Was super hot on the day, i did the trail. Closer to the God Thumb is little tricky. It was very windy and narrow path. If not careful can take a dangerous tumble. No cell service.nHard to maintain social distancing.
